Saint Brigid and the Feminine Religious Figure. This undergraduate paper is an exploration of the role of primary feminine religious figures. It focuses primarily upon Saint Brigid of Ireland. It observes that the origins of her significance pre-date Christianity even though she herself lived during the fifth century A.D. It concludes that Brigid's strength as a religious symbol lies within her legendary assertion of the power of feminine faith.
