The Theology and Contemporary Relevance of the Letters to the Seven Churches of Asia in The Revelation of John.
This paper will examine John of Patmos' epistles to the churches of Asia as both contextual and prophetical works. It will be shown how, although rooted in the circumstances of their time, Christ's messages (through John) are of clear and present relevance to Christians attempting to repent and maintain their faith in a world that, although in far subtler ways, is just as hostile to the Christian faith as the Roman Empire in the time of John. 13 pgs. 29 f/c. 4b.
