This paper discusses Buddhism. By their very natures, science and religion are seemingly incompatible. Not only are the findings of modern science in complete disagreement with traditional religious teachings with regard to the origins of our universe and mankind itself, but also the source of knowledge is itself diametrically opposed in western religions and modern science. There is, however, one exception: Buddhism. In Buddhism, there is no deity, no divine relations, no dogmas, and no imposed beliefs that must be accepted without proof. Perhaps science and religion, or more specifically Buddhism, are not so different after all.
