The Dual Nature of Man in Othello and Midsummer Nights Dream This paper will seek to understand the dual nature of both good and evil in Puck and Iago in the William Shakespeare plays: "Othello" and "A Midsummer Nights Dream". By assessing the public and private contrasting natures of both of these characters, we can see how Puck possesses far less evil intentions in his erroneous buffoonery, while Iago is evil through a conscious dualism within his character.
