Drama Analysis: The Character Development, Dramatic Construct and Cultural Significance of The Tragedy of Hamlet, The Prince of Denmark by William Shakespeare In this paper we can examine the dramatic construct of tragedy within the play “The Tragedy of Hamlet, The Prince of Denmark” by William Shakespeare. Also, we can realize the psychological insanity in the characterization of Hamlet, as well as those Elizabethan visuals that portend a delusional state of mind. In this manner, Shakespeare constructs a play that culturally represents lessons and allegories on poor judgment and illegal government, and how these tragic events formulate within theater for tragic heroes. Shakespeare presents Hamlet as a hero of doubtful repute, but with morality and ethical approaches to righting wrongs within the kingship of Denmark.
