The Implications of Godels Incompleteness Theorem for Cybernetics and Artificial Intelligence
This paper examines the implications of Godel's Incompleteness Theorem that most certainly stretch well beyond the scope of strict mathematics into many other disciplines. Specifically, this paper examines the degree to which Godel's theorem has had an effect on research in cybernetic and artificial intelligence. The paper concludes that base on Godel, it is impossible to ever construct a cybernetic intelligence capable of functioning on the level of the human mind.
