This paper analyzes a new technology as applied in an educational situation, in this case the use of the palmtop in a hospital residencey program to allow for everything from not taking to accessing databases for additional information and this technology is analyzed according to the ACTIONS system described by bates (1995) to note aspects of the technology, how it is used, and how it fits in the organization.
