Qualitative Methodology and Analysis This paper reports on a design for an interview session on the topic of why some employees stay with a company and others leave, developing the questions to be asked noting the need for confidentiality and other assurances to interviewees, in this case analyzing the reasons why managers believe their employees leave as a preliminary to interviewing the employees and then determining if the managers simply have the wrong idea and so are doing the wrong thing to encourage retention.
