The purpose of this paper is to identify and assess the different movement patterns and needs of a young child. I achieved this by observing a child at one stage of psychomotor development. The observations took place at my friends house and observed her three year old son. I used the data that I collected from my observations, conversations I had with my friend, and journals, including course readings to assess whether the childs needs were being met and if this child was a high risk for disability. The childs name is Samuel and he is three years old. I spent 4 hours with him on a Saturday afternoon to observe his psychomotor development and interview his mother.
