Culturally Situating Social Cognitive Theory This paper shall discuss BanduraÂ’s concepts of human agency as a central facet in the study of human development, change, and adaptation. Besides discussing in general terms how BanduraÂ’s types of agency have been combined in a dynamic system in the West, examples of this will be provided from the authorÂ’s own experiences within an academic setting.
