Nietzsche, Mill, Rousseau and Equality. This paper discusses Nietzsche's, Mill's and Rousseau's views on the notions of substantive equality and formal equality. Nietzsche did not believe in equality, since he believed it caused mediocrity. Mill rejected equality because he believed in the importance of individualism.
