Moral Rules and Hobbes' s Leviathan : The Establishment of a Human Morality. This paper will show how Hobbes's view of the function and use of morality in Western society was a more complex one than a initial reading of his work would suggest. The moral rules which govern the social order re-visioned by Hobbes come in the form of what Hobbes termed "natural laws" which determine all human behaviour.
