Four Neoclassical Authors On The Use Of Reason. This paper compares the views of Molière, Racine, Pope, and Swift, on the topic of human reason. While Molière and Racine see reason as a force that might cure humanity of its violent and confusing passions, Pope and Swift see it as just one more aspect of human nature that has been misused in society.
