Because all Christians and all Christian churches see the human body both as the creation of God as well as the image of God, all Christians are adjured to be respectful of the human form, whether living or dead. However, this does not mean that Christian churches forbid autopsies: Although there is a range of beliefs among different sects (and of course between individuals) it is in general the case that Christian churches do not object to autopsies, although there are different conditions that different churches seek to impose.
