Cherniak, Godel and Lucas. This paper is written about Godel's theorem. We begin to see that the human mind is infinite, while machines are not. (Lucas) And this is precisely what Cherniak is referring to in his story. The mind is alive and can therefore go into a coma, while the machine is not alive and does not need to go into any comas because it is programmed.
