Sickle Cell Crisis Analysis of Nursing Care This paper provides a framework for alternative pain management practices for a case study in which a patient was admitted to the Emergency Room for pain suffered as a symptom of sickle cell anemia disease (SCD). This paper provides an alternative treatment program for the patient that involves the integration of opioids for pain in durations of not more than fourteen days, and routine nutritional and therapy management to encourage long-term reduction of symptoms corresponding to SCD.
