Problem Solving and Preliminary Assement: Assessment Strategies Used to Cope with Depressive Patients
Intervention systems have been developed by both those in psychology and social work to help promote coping among patients suffering severe threats to their personal integrity. The types of threats differ remarkably, and can range from the loss of a loved one to a stressful and overly traumatic event.
This paper shall provide a fictional case study of a patient who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. Exploring the case study of this patient shall help define and describe in detail a sample of the methods available to practitioners working to provide comprehensive psychological care to the individual.
