The Will to Live in Ship Fever : The Irish Versus The Canadians in Terms of Survival.
In the short story "Ship Fever" by author Andrea Barret, the concept of humanity's will to survive at all costs in manifested throughout the story. However, while the fight to preserve human life is evident in both the Irish and the Canadian characters, there is a serious difference between the actions of the Irish and those of the Canadians. The Irish embrace life while the Canadians appear to actively deny it.
