The Assertion of Women Authors in the Context of their Time.
This paper is an exploration of three women authors and how each asserts the position of women as being equal to men and deserving of equality within the limits and context of the time of writing. It is the purpose of this paper to examine the works produced by Anzia Yezierska, Elizabeth Barret Browning, and Mary Rowlandson and the commonality of the struggle to find and secure the women's identity is strung through the works of each of these three authors. 5 pgs.
