This paper is a summarization of a professional development seminar on Indigenous health workers and non-indigenous health workers. A historical analysis will be given to begin the presentation. This will be followed by the presentation which consists of two parts; how these historical events and factors have impacted on the health of Indigenous Australians and b) how they may be impacting on relationships between the hospital and regional Indigenous communities.
