convergence and diversity in capitalism This paper identifies the traits in "divergent" (liberal) and "convergent" capitalism. Simply, liberal capitalism refers to a market economy in which there is little synthesis with government or with other actors. A convergent economy is more representative of all forces working together towards a single outcome. This paper briefly covers these two points.
