Dating Communication Among Gay Couples. This paper examines communication between gay couples through the lens of how it affects, and is affected by, imposed heterosexuality within the society at large. The paper emphasizes that the patriarchal society narrows the parameters within which gay couples' communication can occur, since it socially constructs gender roles and sexual orientation.
