This six-page undergraduate paper is in the form of two 3-page essays about medieval society and the role of women. The first essay examines the role of women in African societies and compares their status to the status of women in contemporary civilizations. The second essay discusses the correspondence between Heloise and Abelard, the views of Thomas Aquinas on the "Just Price," and the political importance of the Magna Carta. Both essays evaluate the nature of society in medieval times, and appropriate comparisons and contrasts are offered.
