The Importance of Memory: Forgetfulness and History in Germany and Canada.
This paper will argue that the Holocaust - and more specifically what the Germans have learned from it - are both relevant and useful to other societies such as Canada. While there are, of course, numerous lessons that have been drawn from the experience, it may be argued that one lesson the Germans have learned is particularly relevant to other societies: the importance of memory. 5 pgs.
