Teachers Slam-dunked on a global scale The disparity in teachers pay rates against other professions is not just an American problem, indeed the same problems occur in places as far away as England, Ireland, New Zealand and Australia. This essay asks why is it, when teachers are responsible for so much, and train as hard and as long as other professions, why the pay scale is so low.
