Issues in Social Justice: Deconstructing Race, Anti-Race, and Justice Despite the efforts to integrate multiculturalism into the socio-cultural fabric of Australia, there remains the threat that racial distinctions might play a part in segregation, or a reduction of full multicultural integration (White, 1993). The public education system in Australia has worked since 1983 to reduce the impact which race and racism can have upon the student and the educator alike. This paper demonstrates the reasons as to why anti-race efforts are an integral function in achieving a full and permanent state of multiculturalism in Australia.
