Corrective Feedback in Second Language Acquisition This paper provides a brief review of corrective feedback in learning second languages. Corrective feedback has been demonstrated as having a high rate of positive impact within second language acquisition. There are degrees to which corrective feedback can be applied in the classroom, and most researchers focusing on the effectiveness of corrective feedback suggest that this practice is most effective when there is an immediate response on the part of the mentor, teaching partner, or student partner. While those researchers studying the application of corrective feedback all accept that this process is beneficial, the degree to which corrective feedback is applied appears to have a more profound impact on outcome as opposed to method.
