Should the Federal Reserve Lower Interest Rates This paper will probe into the issues that surround further interest rate cuts and offer a reasoned opinion on the dynamics and wisdom of such a move. In the final analysis it seems that no further rate cuts are necessary at this point. However, it must be noted that this is an ephemeral observation, for, in the coming months further cuts or increases may well be appropriate. So unpredictable is the contemporary state of the global economy.
