This paper offers a proposal for a thesis on the effect of manufacturing foreign direct investment (FDI) as a spur to economic growth, especially for the developing countries of Asia, which have been faced with an economic crisis for some time, and this thesis suggests that manufacturing FDI is the most effective means of achieving increased economic growth in these countries.
