FDI and China This paper considers the effect of FDI and domestic investment on economic growth in China, considering the issue over time, and offering a review of literature on studies of the issue and on rationales for these studies, noting the effects of both kinds of investment and of government policies that encourage some regions and downgrade others, adding to economic inequality between provinces.
