Tracing Jurisprudence of the U.S. Supreme Court Regarding the First Amendment The Publication of Truthful Information Lawfully Obtained and Bartnicki v. Vopper
This paper uses Bartnicki v. Vopper as a centerpiece and traces jurisprudence in the U.S. Supreme Court regarding the publication of truthful information lawfully obtained. It examines the current state of that jurisprudence; what, if any restraints remain on the press; and whether the Court has left too many issues unresolved in its Bartnicki decision.
