XML and Its Implications for Communications This paper will discuss the relative changes between XML (Extensible Markup Language) and its direct predecessor HTML. It will discuss the ways in which XML is coded, transmitted, and received as compared with similar methods for HTML. The paper will examine the ways in which XML has made several distinct and important innovatins over HTML and how those innovations will affect the manner in which data is sent and received in the very near future.
