The Narration of Racism: The Western Mass Media and Sensationalized Representations of Middle Eastern Terrorism . This paper will explore representations of Middle Eastern "terrorism" in the Western mass media. It will be argued that while these stereotyped representations clearly serve the political interests of major Western powers, they cannot be considered simply as ideological constructs.
