Canadian Policy in Response to Privacy Issues and Electronic Communications.
The rise of electronic communication has brought to the fore ideas of privacy in relation to computer capabilities regarding both private sector interests and rights that pertain to the individual citizen. Canada is as challenged as other countries by questions of how to limit access to some kinds of information. There are important matters of the value of different kinds of information, of what should be private, or what pertains to a perceived right of access where the ownership of information is debated.
