Theories of Leadership For decades researchers have tried to pinpoint exactly what characteristics in a person make them an effective leader. Certainly some people are more predisposed than others in the ability to lead. By discovering which traits are inherent to strong leaders, businesses could target this type of person early on, knowing they could more easily be cultivated into a leadership position.
