Is Socially Responsible Business Economically Viable
This paper addresses the question: can a business be both socially responsible and economically successful? Using examples of multinational companies whose social conscience has stood them in good stead, the author explains that not only is socially responsible business part of the expected business ethic of the 21st century, but it is good business policy. Being aware of the effect a company has on its surrounding community can save that company from bad press situations and create a trustworthy image that will appeal to both investors and government regulators. 6 pgs.
