Investigating the Impact of Reputation on the Independent Financial Advisor: Reputation as a Both Business Asset and Liability. This paper addresses the concept of a business's reputation as well as the reputation of an independent financial advisor to demonstrate how necessary a solid reputation is for both the security of the IFA and businesses as a whole. This goal is achieved through examining the need for a solid reputation in the current business climate, in addition to the role of the independent financial advisor and how the IFA relies upon a solid reputation with clients, contractors, employees, and within the public eye. The final goal of this paper is to affirm the need for a positive, fact- based reputation as a means of promoting business.
