Critical Thinking - Karl Albrecht This paper provides a summary and a response to the article “The Next Wave is the Brain Wave" by author Karl Albrecht. Albrecht identifies conditions through which human progress is achieved. He suggests that there are “waves,” or patterns of thought, which become popularized and impact the development of society at that time. Based upon the works of earlier researchers, he identifies that the First Wave was the agricultural revolution, the Second Wave is the industrialization process, and the Third Wave is the information age.
