The business community functions in large part because of limitations placed upon them through legislature. This paper provides a summary of the United States Code Annotated (USCA) within the Federal Water Pollution Control Act, registered under 33 U.S.C.A. 1251. This Act is designed specifically for the purposes of promoting clear waters within the jurisdiction of local use, and is supervised on both a federal and a state level. Businesses in violation of this Act can be penalized by both state and federal agencies, and it is therefore essential to approach 33 U.S.C.A. 1251 as a potential liability for those working with industrialized production.
