Research Paper: Adrenal Gland Failures Diseases and disorders of the pituitary and adrenal glands can have minor to fatal effect. Adrenocortical problems are associated with high blood pressure, stroke, heart failure, and a host of less deadly, but quite interfering symptoms. ConnÂ’s Syndrome, CushingÂ’s Disease, and AddisonÂ’s Disease are three examples of disorders that have differing effects upon the function of the adrenal glands either directly or as a secondary cause. It is the purpose of this paper to present the physiology, diagnosis, and treatment of all three of these adrenal-related disorders.
