Creatine Phosphate Metabolism Creatine phosphate has become one of the latest supplements to become popular, especially with body-builders and runners but also with a fairly wide range of the general public. However, as is the case with so many such supplements, the effectiveness of taking a substance in the form of a supplement (vis-à-vis its being naturally produced by the body) has not yet been well studied. This paper examines the way in which the human body metabolizes creatine phosphate under normal conditions as well as the ways in which it metabolizes creatine phosphate when it is taken as a supplement.
