The Accomplishments of Alexander The Great. Through time, Alexander the Great has become known as a model military leader and conqueror. The subject of legend and literature as well as historical fact, he is sometimes credited with things he didn't actually do. It is known, however, that using bold military tactics, he invaded Persia, Egypt, Iran, Afghanistan, and India and in the course of his conquests, spread Greek culture through much of the world.
