This junior level paper on Milton's Lycidas emphasizes on the pamphlets that were published by him to convey his opinion on state matters to the common public. His paper also reviews the principals laid down by Milton in Areopagitica and The Tenure of Kings and Magistrates to mould a society towards justice and righteousness. An analysis of both these articles is done which demonstrates Milton's dissatisfaction with the English clergy in the 1640s. It also discusses the customs and laws prevalent in his times.
