The Decline and the Fall of Rome: Three Factors for its Destruction. This paper examines three of the major factors that contributed to the decline of the Roman Empire. These three factors are the division of the Roman government into warring factions, the increase of a "barbarian" populace from the European territories, and a decline in the rights of the Roman people that eventually lead to economic failure and public dissent.
