This paper discusses in depth the seasonal celebrations of three major religions: Hinduism, Christianity, and Buddhism. It also discusses the correlation between converting religions like Christianity and pre-existing pagan rituals (equinoxes, etc.), particularly how pagan celebrations are replaced by religious ceremonies of the new religion. An example used is Easter/Spring Equinox. The paper concludes with a discussion of the universal importance of both religion and seasonal change in human experience. 6 pgs.
