Roots of European Civilization: Minoan and Mycenaean Cultural Forms. This paper gives a brief historical overview of the Minoan civilization, and its successor, the Mycenaeans. The two cultures were primarily trade empires, though we remember them mostly through the epic war poems of Homer.
