The Jew Within: Self, Family, and Community in America This five-page undergraduate paper discusses the book, The Jew Within: Self, Family, and Community in America, by Steven Cohen and Arnold Eisen. The authors contend that Jews in the United States feel less attachment to Israel than their parents and grandparents did, are participating in traditional Jewish organizations less than ever before, and are focused more on their own families and careers.
