The Relationship between Gender and Nationalism: Women's Emancipation
It is widely accepted that there is a commonality between oppressions. For example, racism and sexism have much in common and often existed comfortably together. It is further often argued that where two or more oppressions co-exist, one cannot entirely remove one of these oppressions unless one simultaneously entirely excises the others. If we turn to look at the concepts of gender and nationalism, we can find some similar correlations.
